Automotive Parts Assistant/Detailer
About The Position
We are a busy, fast-paced collision center dedicated to high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Parts Assistant / Detailer. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door in the automotive industry and grow with an established shop. Assist Parts Department with ordering parts and detailing of vehicles Vehicle Cleaning and Washing: Thoroughly clean and wash both the interior and exterior of vehicles, including windows, mirrors, and other surfaces. Vacuum and shampoo carpets, upholstery, and other interior surfaces to remove stains and dirt. Polishing and Waxing: Apply polishes, waxes, and other protective agents to enhance the appearance of the vehicle's exterior. Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a glossy finish. Interior Detailing: Clean and condition leather and vinyl surfaces to maintain a fresh and appealing interior. Detail dashboard, door panels, and other interior components. Exterior Detailing: Address scratches, dents, and other minor imperfections to restore the vehicle's exterior to like-new condition. Apply touch-up paint as needed.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Basic automotive knowledge is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with Receiving, organizing, and managing parts inventory
- Verify incoming parts against repair orders for accuracy and damage
- Deliver parts to technicians and maintain a clean, organized parts area
- Return incorrect or damaged parts as needed
- Wash, clean, and detail vehicles before and after repairs
- Perform final quality checks to ensure vehicles are customer-ready
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, work areas, and customer vehicles
- Support team members with general shop duties as needed
