About The Position

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter at its Service Center in Alhambra. This role involves performing a variety of duties, including preparing and mixing paint colors to match existing vehicle paint, and ensuring that all paint formulations, preparations, top coating, and curing processes adhere to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for application sequence, timing, and materials usage. The Automotive Painter is also responsible for confirming that all paint operations are completed, all masking is removed, and any previously disassembled paint-related components are reassembled before the vehicle is returned to the body technician. Requirements

3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
Ability to do consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing.

Responsibilities

Perform all-purpose duties related to automotive painting.
Prepare color tint to match paint color.
Mix paint colors.
Ensure all formulations, preparations, top coating, and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing, and materials usage.
Ensure all paint operations are complete.
Ensure all masking is removed.
Ensure all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.
