About The Position

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter at their Service Center Northwest Anaheim. This role is crucial for ensuring vehicles are restored to OEM standards. The Automotive Painter's responsibilities include preparing and mixing paint colors, ensuring precise color matching, and overseeing all aspects of paint application, top coating, and curing according to manufacturer specifications. The position also involves ensuring that all paint operations are completed, masking is removed, and any disassembled parts are reassembled before the vehicle is returned to the body technician. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
  • Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all-purpose duties related to automotive painting
  • Prepare color tint to match paint color
  • Mix paint colors
  • Ensure all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and materials usage
  • Ensure that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly have been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician
