About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and masked. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Paint Prepper will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment used during the preparation process.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive repair or preparation is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or auto glass installation is a plus.
• Knowledge of auto estimating processes or dealership operations is beneficial.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various physical conditions is required.
• Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory for this role.

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed for painting.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired surface conditions.
• Perform buffing tasks to ensure a smooth finish prior to painting.
• Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and components when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use.
• Collaborate with painters and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with various materials and equipment.
