For questions, Please email [email protected] Key Responsibilities Paint Operations (Hands-On) Perform vehicle painting and refinishing to OEM quality standards Execute and demonstrate best practices in: Surface preparation Primer, basecoat, and clearcoat application Color matching and blending Defect identification and correction (runs, orange peel, fisheyes, etc.) Support prototype, pre-series, and production vehicles as required Training & Knowledge Transfer Provide hands-on training to existing team members on-site Upskill painters to meet OEM quality, efficiency, and process expectations Deliver: Practical training sessions Process demonstrations Coaching during live production or rework Act as a mentor and technical reference for paint teams Process & Quality Improvement Identify gaps in paint processes and team capabilities Recommend improvements to: Materials, equipment, or techniques Process flow and efficiency Quality consistency and defect reduction Support implementation of best practices across projects and locations

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of hands-on automotive painting experience
  • Proven experience working for or with multiple automotive manufacturers (OEMs or Tier 1s strongly preferred)
  • Strong background in automotive paint systems (waterborne and solvent-based), OEM paint quality standards, and high-end finish requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and mentor painters on the job
  • Comfortable working directly on vehicles while teaching others
  • Strong communication skills with both shop-floor teams and OEM representatives

  • Experience supporting quality containment or rework operations
