Duties & Responsibilities - Works safely and adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures - Maintains all company provided tools and equipment (cell phone, vehicle, computer, etc.) - Diagnoses and repairs a wide variety of mechanical problems - Performing the maintenance, repair, and inspection of all types of vehicles (including diesel) - Demonstrates efficient computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases - Determines the type of repair required and makes the repair; checks warranty records - Diagnoses and determines the appropriate repair for steering and suspension systems - Performs services, inspects and repairs tires, wheel and brake systems; removes and replaces a variety of automotive components - Attends courses to keep abreast of technical changes and to learn to use new computerized equipment - Conducts regulatory (state, federal, and local) testing and reporting as directed by Foreman - Performs maintenance to light duty and to heavy equipment machinery - Performs all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations - Schedules maintenance for all vehicles and equipment, and keeps all service records up to date - Creates work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information - Inputs daily repair information in maintenance database - Performs other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman Skills & Specifications - Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve safety and production goals - Has integrity, communicates effectively, and maintains a positive attitude - Strong work ethic - Working knowledge of the techniques and procedures to diagnose mechanical and operating problems in automotive equipment - Working knowledge of the methods, tools, equipment, and parts used in repairing automotive equipment - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment - Has proficient computer skills with various electronic databases - Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility - Demonstrates mechanical knowledge of all aspects of industry craft Education & Qualifications - Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations) - Legally authorized to work in the United States - Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check - Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program - Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred - Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation if needed - Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs - Capable of rigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment if needed
