About The Position

The lube technician is responsible for servicing and inspecting the complete underside of the vehicle quickly, safely, and accurately. The lube technician must pay careful attention that only the proper gaskets and drain plugs are installed, the vehicle is greased, the gear boxes checked, the oil filter is tight, and there are no leaks after installation.

Requirements

• Customer service skills
• Basic literacy (ready, writing, math skills)
• Verbal communication skills
• Ability and license to operate motor vehicles
• Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience or training - Minimum 3 months actual experience or supervised training as a lube technician required

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform visual inspection of vehicle undercarriage and other hood components and document any unusual conditions
• Perform additional services, such as fuel filters, transmissions and differentials, when applicable
• Lubricate chassis, when applicable
• Install a tamper seal on all plugs
• Assist with pressure and leak check and final safety and quality check
• Use Echo System
• General center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows, lawn mowing, clearing litter, snow and ice from the site, and cleaning restrooms.
• Attend crew meetings and run errands as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.
