Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and math skills
  • Must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times and be able to pass a DMV Motor Vehicle report for Insurance Coverage
  • Must have a minimum 3 to 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • A.S.E. certification is a plus (New hires with external similar qualifications/certifications will have up to 2 years of employment to comply)
  • Maintains Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair to Mfg. specifications
  • Background in all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including:
  • Complete brake and hydraulic repair experience
  • Diagnostics, Exhaust systems, and troubleshooting background
  • Primary and/or advanced fuel ignition experience
  • Electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals
  • Shop Leader: Complete Vehicle Inspection Program responsibilities as well as training and assisting fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
