About The Position

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Photographer for our partner dealers in Highland Township, Michigan! Job Description : The Automotive Inventory Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality vehicle images, managing photo uploads, and supporting daily inventory flow. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while meeting daily production targets.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to drive manual transmission
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
• Basic computer skills (uploading, file management, system navigation)
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently without supervision

Nice To Haves

• Automotive inventory photography experience (dealership or auction)
• Experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras
• Familiarity with dealership inventory or merchandising platforms
• Basic photo editing or image correction knowledge
• Dealership porter or lot attendant
• Automotive detailer or reconditioning technician
• Vehicle inventory or merchandising coordinator
• Auction, wholesale, or fleet vehicle handling
• Delivery driver with manual transmission experience

Responsibilities

• Capture consistent, high-quality photos of new and used vehicles (interior, exterior, key features)
• Stage and position vehicles to meet dealership merchandising standards
• Safely move vehicles throughout dealership property (tight spaces, active lots)
• Drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Upload, organize, and manage images within inventory systems
• Ensure vehicles are clean, properly staged, and photo-ready before shooting
• Maintain daily production targets with speed and accuracy
• Communicate with sales and inventory teams on priority units
• Identify and report visible damage, missing features, or discrepancies
