About The Position

Southern Team Automall in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented AUTOMOTIVE INVENTORY CLERK. This is a deadline-driven, clerical position. Previous accounting experience and auto dealership experience preferred but not required. Candidates will possess professional communication skills, flexibility, ability to work both independently and as part of a team (willingness to cross-train), ability to work with interruptions, must have excellent math and data entry skills. This is a full-time, non-remote opportunity. Candidates must be punctual and dependable. This position requires each employee to work on site. This is NOT a remote position and your attendance is required in order to maintain employment. This position will require standing, sitting, reaching, and bending. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Southern Team Auto Mall is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication skills, prioritize, and time management required
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record - no DUI or reckless driving
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and strict deadlines
Desire to learn the many different facets of a dealership accounting office including cross-training in switchboard and other accounting positions
Must be at least 20 years old
Must be punctual and dependable

Nice To Haves

Previous accounting experience and auto dealership experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of accounting software (CDK) and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legal regulations preferred
