About The Position

The Part-Time Automotive Instructor advances the mission and vision of Equip Skills Center by leading automotive pre-apprenticeship training, supporting advanced automotive instruction, and assisting in the launch of a welding program. This role combines technical instruction, mentoring, and spiritual leadership to prepare students for workplace success and personal growth.

Responsibilities

Implement high-quality automotive and career readiness training for Pre-Apprenticeship and Advanced Automotive classes
Support the development and launch of a welding training track
Fulfill all COYFC staff expectations, including spiritual leadership and student ministry responsibilities
Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning, engagement, and student growth
Support the Program Coordinator in delivering high-quality, workforce-ready programming
Evaluate, track, and document student progress and outcomes
Help students identify and develop mechanical aptitude, positive character traits, and workplace readiness skills
Ensure instructional outcomes align with program goals
Serve as a mentor, role model, and positive influence for students
Develop curriculum for a welding program and identify equipment, staffing, and facility needs
Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Equip staff to maintain and expand programming
Comply with all COYFC policies and procedures
Articulate and live out COYFC’s Statement of Faith and Mission both professionally and personally
Represent COYFC’s religious mission to students, families, and the broader community
Participate in and help lead Christian activities such as prayer, devotional worship, and spiritual discussions
Seek God’s guidance through prayer and reflection for the organization and ministry initiatives
Participate in and lead regular prayer, devotion, and worship activities
Share the Gospel message with students and support them in their spiritual journeys
