HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As an Automotive Installation Technician I , you will be responsible for performing the upfit of trucks, as well as fabricate, repair, maintain and install steel items and equipment. The assembly must be completed according to the goals set by the Production Manager. You will do this by: Assembling basic equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Reading, interpreting and following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Meeting production schedule deadlines as designated by the Production Manager. Performing quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Identifying product defects and documenting them. Performing all necessary documentation in a timely manner. Conferring with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems. Reworking and/or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Requirements

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions while remembering multiple tasks.
  • Good vision, detail oriented and organized; self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • 12V Wiring Mechanical and/or Electrical skills.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MIG welding and equipment preferred.
  • Three-year related experience (preferred but not mandatory) in a manufacturing environment or technical school.
  • Truck fitting experience is a plus.
