About The Position

Firelands Auto Group is expanding again and is looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to join our Firelands Team! Firelands Auto Group currently has several brands and locations that we operate within: 2 Chevrolet, 2 Toyota, Honda, CDJR, Volkswagen with locations in Sandusky, Norwalk, Vermilion & Wooster. We are a private owned Dealer Group that is closed on Sundays & all major holidays. Firelands is deeply rooted in community engagement in all our communities as we sponsor and hold events several times a year at all our locations. We foster a friendly, fun and transparent sales & service culture within our organization for all our customers and employees. We are NOT the typical car dealership and don't play the games that other dealers do.

Requirements

• Proven track record in automotive sales and leadership roles, often progressing from a General Sales Manager position.
• Ability to motivate teams, foster a positive work environment, and lead confidently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and management.
• Deep understanding of automotive industry trends, sales processes, and market conditions.
• Ability to use dealership management systems and learn new technologies related to the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic goals, promotional events, and business plans to drive sales and profitability.
• Oversee daily operations, review financial statements, manage budgets, and ensure the financial health of the dealership.
• Analyze sales performance, set sales goals, motivate sales teams, and oversee inventory management for new and used vehicles.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings and resolve customer issues.
• Hire, train, and supervise department managers (sales, service, parts, and finance).
• Ensure all departments operate efficiently, comply with company policies and procedures, and maintain high standards of service and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain expert knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations impacting dealership operations and ensure compliance across all departments.
