About The Position

The General Manager will lead the Sales Team for a large automotive group in Northern Virginia, focusing on enhancing sales and maximizing customer experience. This role involves direct management of the sales, service, parts, and accounting teams, ensuring strong store performance and profitability while actively participating in the sales process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong desking, Reynolds Ignite CRM, and closing skills.
• Proficient with automotive tools such as Reynolds DMS, CRM, Vauto, and Xtime.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient knowledge of dealership management systems.
• Good organizational and professional communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in high-volume dealerships.
• Strong customer service history (CSI).

Responsibilities

• Direct, train, and manage the sales, service, parts, and accounting team to enhance sales and maximize customer experience.
• Analyze and manage store performance and profitability.
• Work with the Comptroller, sales team, and finance management to meet monthly sales targets.
• Manage inventory for new and used car departments.
• Develop and mentor sales consultants, F&I managers, and other sales managers.
• Take ownership of the dealership's variable operations to maximize profitability.
• Work the sales desk and manage customer turnovers.
