About The Position

Do you have strong automotive knowledge and enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment? If you’ve worked in an auto shop, dealership, fleet operation, or completed an automotive program—and want to apply your skills to a fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands—join the Avis Budget Group team. In this role, your work helps ensure vehicles are accurately prepared, documented, and transitioned—supporting both fleet operations and a smooth customer experience. What You’ll Do: In this outdoor role, you will oversee the entry and exit of vehicles within our rental fleet. This includes conducting pre-delivery and post-use inspections, installing and removing license plates, coordinating vehicle registration paperwork, stickers, and keys, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date. You will help prepare newer vehicles across a variety of makes and models for customer rental, as well as support the transition of vehicles out of the fleet for retail used car lots, auctions, or other buyers. You will also support the organized movement and positioning of vehicles throughout the lot to maintain efficient operations. Your attention to detail and automotive knowledge help ensure vehicles are properly documented, safe, and ready—directly supporting fleet accuracy, vehicle availability, and the overall customer experience.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with moderate noise levels
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in auto service, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage
