About The Position

Automotive & Equipment Tech I: Salary range: $42,012.32-$63,018.47 PRIMARY DUTY: Performs duties that allow other technicians to maximize work output of the shop. Train to meet requirements of Automotive and Equipment Technician II. This position also receives technical supervision and guidance from level two and three Technicians. Must personally own tools required to perform job duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Valid Class "C" Texas Drivers License with good driving record, ability to obtain Class "A" Texas Driver's License within six months from hire date. Automotive & Equipment Tech II: Salary range: $46,318.58-$69.477.87 PRIMARY DUTY: Perform technical and labor duties required to troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment, both in the shop and in the field. Perform scheduled and routine maintenance in accordance with established policies. Train to meet requirements of Automotive and Equipment Technician III. Must personally own tools required to perform job duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent. Three years' experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with good driving record, ability to obtain Class "A" Texas Driver's License within six months from hire date. S.E. certified in the following automotive and truck categories, A-7, T-4 & T5 or equivalent educational experience. Automotive & Equipment Tech III: Salary range: 48,634.51 - $72,951.76 PRIMARY DUTY: Perform technical and labor duties required to troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment, both in the shop and in the field. Perform scheduled and routine maintenance in accordance with established policies. Train to meet requirements of Automotive and Equipment Technician IV. Must personally own tools required to perform job duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years' experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Valid Class "C" Texas Drivers License with good driving record and ability to obtain class "A" Texas Drivers License. S.E. certified in the following automotive and truck categories, A-7, T-4, T5, T-2, T-3 & T-6. Automotive & Equipment Tech IV: Salary range: 53,619.54 - $80,429.32 PRIMARY DUTY: Perform technical and labor duties required to troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment, both in the shop and in the field. Perform scheduled and routine maintenance in accordance with established policies. Must personally own tools required to perform job duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Eight years' experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Valid Class "C" Texas Drivers License with good driving record and ability to obtain class "A" Texas Drivers License within six months from hire date. S.E. certified in the following automotive and truck categories, A-7, T-4, T5, T-2, T-3, T-6, T-1, T-7 & L-2.

Requirements

  • Five years' experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience.
  • S.E. certified in the following automotive and truck categories, A-7, T-4, T5, T-2, T-3 & T-6.
  • Eight years' experience as a mechanic in a repair facility, vocational training may be substituted for experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • S.E. certified in the following automotive and truck categories, A-7, T-4, T5, T-2, T-3, T-6, T-1, T-7 & L-2.
