About The Position

Position Overview: This position serves LEONI's North American Development Department with design expertise to create and maintain E/E schematics in LEONI and customer's systems. The candidate should possess the capabilities to independently process E/E systems designs and to represent LEONI in front of our customers. This position reports directly to our Head of Harness Design in Troy, Michigan. Job Profile Description: Import Wiring DEF for all families including all sub-suppliers (Large, Medium, Small, Data/Communication, HV, Battery, etc) Create hrn/cmp/csv files from imported DEF Support def quality team with def checks Create system level DVP&R Determine inline positioning Review to meet Stellantis crimp specification that there is a valid terminal crimp combination from the component manufacturer Resistance check to meet system requirements Confirm design meets Terminal Plating and Special Requirements. Create subcompent list (Terminal, Seal and etc) according to housing information Create inline list file (X/Y-NUMs, Male/Female, connector p/ns, description, etc) Create inline pinout Create inline device transmittal (add special reqs and terminal plating) Wire gauge selection Provide splice information to DRE to integrate into 3D design. Wire harness troubleshooting for the full vehicle

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive preferred)
  • 3 years' experience in in executing full vehicle systems engineering projects (Stellantis preferred)
  • Experience in Capital Logic/Integrator or equivalent schematics design tool
  • Proficient English speaking and writing skills
  • Good team work and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • People and social skills - able to re-present LEONI in front of the customers
  • Experience in executing full vehicle systems engineering projects
  • Understand harness partitioning
  • Understand inline partitioning
  • Understand device to harness association
  • Understand cable / sub-assemblies partitioning
  • Understand Ground Topology
  • Understand Network Topology
  • Candidate needs to be authorized to work in US

Responsibilities

  • Import Wiring DEF for all families including all sub-suppliers (Large, Medium, Small, Data/Communication, HV, Battery, etc)
