About The Position

Long-Lewis of the Shoals is looking for a detail-oriented and quality-driven Automotive Reconditioning Detail Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in preparing pre-owned vehicles for resale by performing thorough inspections, reconditioning tasks, and detailing work.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive detailing or vehicle reconditioning preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with light vehicle maintenance tasks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment .
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, cosmetic, and safety-related repairs.
• Carry out reconditioning tasks including light mechanical work, minor repairs, and general maintenance as needed.
• Detail and clean the interior and exterior of used vehicles to dealership standards, and to get them prepared for the lot.
• Document all work performed and ensure proper handling of repair and maintenance logs.
• Work closely with service advisors, sales staff, and management to ensure timely turnaround of inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area , adhering to all company and safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members to report progress, delays, or concerns.
