About The Position

Sterling Automotive is seeking a driven and dependable Detail Supervisor to lead our Detail Department and ensure our vehicles meet Sterling’s standards of quality and presentation. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and understands how the detail department directly impacts the customer experience. Requirements

  • Prior automotive detailing experience required
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to weather elements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
  • Must be dependable, coachable, and comfortable holding others accountable
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to insurance requirements
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate detail team members to meet daily production and quality standards
  • Assign work, manage workflow, and ensure timely completion of vehicle detailing
  • Perform and assist with interior and exterior vehicle detailing as needed
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet Sterling’s quality expectations
  • Coordinate with Sales and Service departments on vehicle priorities and deadlines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detail area, showroom, and vehicle lots
  • Monitor inventory and proper use of detailing supplies and equipment
  • Enforce safety procedures and safe driving practices at all times
  • Coach team members on performance, attendance, and quality expectations
  • Lead by example with professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail
