The Automotive Condition Report Writer at Crosspoint NW Auto Auction plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of vehicle conditions for auction. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with the auction team to assess and document vehicle conditions, repair estimates, and related information.

  • Partner with Cross Point NW Auto Auction Manager and Team to ensure timely and thorough reports of vehicles to be auctioned.
  • Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
  • Complete Condition Report Activities and related reporting and/or recordkeeping including interior/exterior assessments.
  • Identify and assess structural damage, frame condition, and alignment of vehicle body panels, detecting missing parts and mechanical problems.
  • Take paint meter readings and perform Audio Motor Profile (AMP) recordings as well as Virtual Lift undercarriage images.
  • List inspected wholesale vehicles utilizing proprietary platform for bidding and purchasing.
  • Stay informed with information regarding company products, upgrades, and service improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • 1 year experience in the automobile field (body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge) with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Problem-solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
  • Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision while working in a team environment.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to understand expectations.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Knowledge of system capabilities, job-relevant software packages, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Vision abilities required to properly identify small defects around and underneath vehicles.
