About The Position
Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Assistants and Service Managers to join our team at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Carlisle, PA area. As one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, with over 2,000 retail locations, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality service and complete customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the repair shop. This position involves scheduling the work of mechanics and technicians, ordering parts, and ensuring that jobs are completed on time and to the highest standards, all while exceeding customer expectations. The Assistant Manager must be knowledgeable about under-car repairs, alignments, tires, and exhaust systems, and possess basic math and computer skills. Effective communication of safety and mechanical issues to the store manager is essential, as is having basic supervisory and leadership skills to be fully effective in this role. The Service Manager is responsible for assisting customers with tire selections and under-car repair services. This sales-oriented position requires prior sales experience, particularly in products and services that involve up-selling techniques. A solid understanding of automotive repairs and the industry is advantageous. Success in this role hinges on excellent interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and a strong focus on achieving results.
