About The Position

The Assistant Service Manager plays a crucial role in the automotive service department, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient service operations. This position requires a strong background in dealership experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Assistant Service Manager will oversee service orders, advise customers on necessary services, and ensure that all repairs are completed to the dealership's standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of dealership experience
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
  • Knowledge of the 3 C process
  • Proven track record with customer satisfaction index (C.S.I.)

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on necessary/suggested services
  • Enter itemized estimate on service order and explain estimate to customer
  • Determine progress of repair/service orders and inform customer accordingly
  • Ensure comprehensive pre-delivery check of customer vehicle
  • Review results of customer satisfaction surveys with the Service Director
  • Audit all service invoices to ensure correct time punches and labor times
  • Sign off on vehicles after inspection process is completed
  • Assist in the stocking process and checking accessories on new vehicles
  • Meet the dealership's standards for repair/order process
  • Look up labor times and invoice work orders
  • Look up warranty operations and times
