About The Position
Jiffy Lube Assistant Managers are certified and proficient in all areas of store operations, sales, and service, responsible for developing guest relationships. In addition, the Assistant Manager sets an example as a leader, focusing on the career development of teammates, and provides consistent guidance and direction ensuring that all policies, procedures, and services are performed to Jiffy Lube's highest standards. These are our resident experts who ensure quality workmanship to get our guests back on the road. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses. Physical qualifications include the ability to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machines, air conditioner service machines, radiator service machines, hand tools, and basic shop equipment. The role requires the ability to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds, push, pull, lift, bend at the knees and waist, twist the body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn the head-neck-shoulders as needed. The Assistant Manager is expected to provide Jiffy Lube Guests with exceptional and world-class customer service, build relationships with Jiffy Lube Guests by developing trust and rapport, and provide store-level leadership to teammates through coaching, training, scheduling, and performance management. They assist technicians in performing Jiffy Lube's Signature Service oil changes, routine preventative maintenance, and service filters, fluids, wipers, tire rotations, and other minor services. Additionally, they manage store inventory, product ordering, and receiving, oversee store operations to ensure compliance and quality standards, and ensure the store is opened and closed as per Jiffy Lube guidelines. Performing building and shop maintenance to improve appearance and curb appeal is also part of the job duties.
