About The Position

The position involves assisting both inside and outside sales as a technical liaison between Automotive OEMs and Mill Operations/Metallurgy. The role requires managing automotive presource orders, utilizing statistical tools to evaluate automotive performance, and assisting with product development and optimization projects. Additionally, the position includes managing automotive IMDS and PPAP submissions, handling corrective actions and metallurgical lab reports for automotive quality issues, and participating in OEM and processor audits. The candidate will also perform automotive part thickness strain and FLD analysis and routinely participate in OEM product development and technical service/quality meetings.

Requirements

  • B. S. in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a metallurgical or automotive technical role
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
  • Quality and detail-oriented
