This Opportunity We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Automotive and Facility Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet, equipment, and facility systems. This position involves hands-on work across a range of mechanical tasks, helping to ensure the safety, reliability, and readiness of all vehicles, equipment, and workspaces. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment
  • DOT Inspector Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with attentional to detail
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships a must
  • Possesses analytical problem-solving skills
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in non-climate-controlled areas. Work environment can include high heat, high humidity, and extreme cold.
  • Ability to work in awkward positions (under vehicles or equipment)
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely
  • Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a forklift

  • ASE Certified or Dealer equivalent qualifications/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of vehicles including trucks, vans, cars, and trailers
  • Conduct DOT inspections to ensure vehicles meet regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Complete repairs involving brakes, tune ups, suspension, diagnostics, preventative maintenance services
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tire rotations, and tune-ups
  • Track and schedule preventative maintenance services to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life
  • Inspect, service, and repair equipment such as pumps, generators, pressure washers, air compressors, and other portable or fixed equipment
  • Troubleshoot operational failures and ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and consumables for commonly used equipment
  • Perform light electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Conduct minor plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, and water lines
  • Support general building upkeep, safety inspections, and workspace cleanliness
  • Assist field crews with mobilization and demobilization of equipment and vehicles
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials as needed
  • Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance
  • Transport equipment, tools, or vehicles between job sites, suppliers, and service providers
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, inspection reports, and inventory checklists
  • Track usage and request restocking of parts, tools, and supplies
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions or equipment replacements
  • Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure tools and equipment are operated safely and maintained in good working condition
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and field crews to schedule vehicle and equipment availability
  • Report on service timelines, part delays, or critical issues affecting job readiness
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff when needed
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as business needs evolve
