About The Position

As an Auto & Diesel Mechanic with Transdev Fleet Services, you will help maintain and repair light-duty, heavy-duty and small engine vehicles to ensure readiness & safety. Other major job duties include: Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. Diagnose and perform all vehicle and equipment repair phases, including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs. Responsible for providing maintenance, service and repairs to gas, diesel and electric powered manufacturers, that include: John Deere, Toro, Briggs and Stratton, Kubota, Bobcat, Gravely, Perkins engines, and Isuzu engines in a multifaceted shop environment. Provide preventative maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment that include: small farm tractors, lawnmowers, ATV's/UTV', snow removal equipment, and towed equipment. Ensure work orders are completed accurately. Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
  • Possess a mechanic’s tool set
  • Must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)
  • Subject to DOT drug testing.
  • DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications are preferred.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $25.00 – Maximum $35.00 based on experience
  • An additional $.25 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
