About The Position

As an Automotive and Diesel Mechanic at First Student, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the children who count on us for a ride to and from school in those classic yellow buses. Our Mechanics perform maintenance to ensure our fleet of newer vehicles is safe for road travel. They also use their diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues needing repair work.

Requirements

• Experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
• Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL
• Mechanic's tool set

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, & transmissions
• Completing work orders
• Assisting with mobile emergency services
