As a Protech Calibration Technician Apprentice, you will receive mentorship and training to perform Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) calibrations according to OEM specifications and repair standards. The role aims to develop your skills to transition from an apprentice to a fully qualified Calibration Technician within seven months, with a focus on customer service and operational consistency.

  • Perform static and dynamic ADAS calibrations on foreign, domestic, and electric vehicles at customer locations.
  • Troubleshoot complex calibration repairs.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed.
  • Explain ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs to collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers.
  • Complete pre and post scans with OE and/or aftermarket tools and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure tooling software updates are completed immediately.
  • Account for assigned inventory including vehicles, mobile devices, laptops, and OE scan tools.
  • Participate in virtual training sessions and complete assigned training and certifications.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • 1-year automotive repair experience preferred but not required.
  • Trade school experience a plus.
  • ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus.
  • Ability to learn and understand collision repair processes and terminology.
  • Successfully complete Protech ADAS Calibration Training.
  • Understanding of technology and basic software programs.
  • Ability to learn aftermarket and OEM diagnostic scan tools and factory software.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently.
  • Experience with mobile devices.
  • Valid I-CAR Certification.
  • Mentorship and training provided by Protech.
  • Access to a robust virtual support team and continuing education on new vehicle technology.
