About The Position

Fenton Family Dealership is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dynamic accounting team. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions within our fast-paced dealership environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

Proven experience in an accounting role is required.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), general ledger software, and comfortable learning new dealership management systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused and professional demeanor.
A valid driver's license and the ability to pass pre-employment testing

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive dealership accounting experience (e.g., using ADP, CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds DMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting with accounts payable/receivable
Reconciliations
Financial records and reporting
Deal processing
Coordinating accounting matters with other departments
Budget preparation/analysis
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Assist with budget preparation
Support annual audits as needed
