The Automation Controls Technician is responsible for daily production support activities and troubleshooting machine controls to maximize production uptime. This role involves performing instrumentation calibration and repair, understanding manufacturing processes and process control within the Processing Facility, and troubleshooting and resolving issues. The technician will install, wire, and troubleshoot VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive), servos, and motor starting devices, as well as troubleshoot and repair medium complexity systems and equipment. Additional responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance procedures, completing work orders, responding to equipment downtime events, and performing Lockout Tagout procedures. The technician must adhere to safety protocols as outlined in the Automation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and may be assigned special projects and additional duties by management.
