Available Shift: 3rd SHIFT 10:30pm- 6:30am The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for an Automation Technician position within our Champaign facility. Depending on business requirements, normal working hours will be 40 hours per week with overtime as required. This role is essential in supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing advanced automated systems and robotics equipment throughout the warehouse, ensuring minimal downtime and safe efficient operation of automation systems. Overview Of Role: The Logistics Facilities Automation Technician is responsible for the advanced maintenance, repair, and operation of all facility systems and equipment in a logistics warehouse environment. This position involves performing routine preventative & corrective maintenance troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls automation, and general facilities tasks. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize systems to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely. Additionally, Logistics Facilities Automation Technician will mentor Maintenance Team Members, assist in driving maintenance projects, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Core Competencies: Advanced Robotic, Mechanical and Electrical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical with the ability to perform more complex repairs and troubleshooting. Problem solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to efficiently identify and resolve complex maintenance issues. Time Management & Organization: Skill in managing multiple maintenance tasks while ensuring minimal operational disruption. Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to maintain a safe work environment through safe work practices. Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to mentor Maintenance Team Members, assist with training, and contribute to team success. Attention to Detail: Ensure high-quality work and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.
