About The Position

The Automation Technician position at DYMC Dayton Mix Center involves maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment, including autonomous robots responsible for case, layer, and pallet movements. The role requires performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment, troubleshooting, monitoring, and improving equipment and systems, as well as analyzing trends and technical data to proactively identify issues. Technicians will also build technical skills in others and focus on continuous improvement projects to enhance product delivery, cost efficiency, quality, and safety. The position operates on a 24/7 schedule with various shift options, including a 2-2-3 bi-weekly rotation, straight days, or straight nights, depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• 2 years of technical experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of various types of machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and instruments.
• Understanding of system integration, control mechanisms, and interconnections with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis skills.
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Benefits

• Starting pay of $22.00 per hour.
• Shift adders: $0.50 for day shift, $2.00 for night shift, and $2.50 for rotating shifts.
• Overtime may be required on weekends and/or holidays.
