Requirements

• 2-year technical degree preferred
• Positive attitude preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices and procedures preferred
• Basic mechanical work experience
• Basic electrical experience
• Basic pneumatics experience
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot and perform small repairs on machines
• Good leadership and motivational skills to lead different people with different abilities and character traits
• Efficient communication skills in both oral and written language
• Swift learner and excellent coach to train teammates
• Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle challenges in the assembly department
• Ability to delegate tasks to other team members

Responsibilities

• Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
• Evaluate manufacturing equipment/tools for safety and functionality
• Ensure that products assembled meet quality standards in the industry
• Motivate workers to enhance production quantity while maintaining high assembly standards
• Check finished products to ensure quality and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use
• Keep records of workers performance
• Keep records of equipment, deliveries, and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation
• Assist with work schedule for workers and ensure that they strictly adhere to it; take attendance to ensure regularity and promptness of workers to duty
• Work as middleman between workers and management to create healthy communication
• Assist with production schedule for the execution of projects in a timely manner
• Ensure that work materials are present when needed
