Requirements

  • Associates degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, or a closely related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in a production environment, particularly as it relates to control technology.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Project approach experience or awareness.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and performs routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, troubleshoots problems, and repairs found issues to reduce human interaction and maximize efficiency.
  • Tests, adjusts, installs, operates, maintains, and inspects computerized systems, robotic devices, control systems, and manufacturing equipment and workstation installations.
  • Install, maintain, and replace Control systems at key points in the production process.
  • Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
  • Develop and improve HMI and SCADA systems (mostly Ignition based).
  • Verify data collection redundancy and security for process parameter.
  • Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
  • Periodically report to leadership regarding control capabilities and status.
