About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for the working condition of all distribution center automated mailing equipment and the safety of its use. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Setup the use of tools and equipment prior to production for optimum safety levels Intermediate troubleshooting, maintain, and repair automated mailing equipment Work with vendors and other internal groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability and minimize equipment downtime Train operations employees on proper use and basic maintenance of automation machines Submit reports and participate in weekly Tech calls Provide guidance and training to Automation Tech I employees Support in the update manuals and programs for automated equipment Work on in house automation projects with automation engineers Supports Automation Helpdesk Level 1 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum two year of experience in a similar role in manufacturing or automated distribution facility Intermediate Mechanical (including Hydraulics and Pneumatics), Electrical, and Computer Skills Basic understanding of industrial machines operating principles Experience/Ability to work with CMMS CHARACTERISTICS/SKILLS: Safety oriented mindset Maintain proficiency for MS Office Word, Excel, and Skype Ability to communicate via verbal or written methods with operators, supervisors, engineering Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills Flexible with scheduling based on business need Positive and team oriented attitude PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Walk, bend, push, reach and lift up to 50 lbs (additional weight may be required with assistance) Ability to sit and stand for hours at a time Noise level generated from other distribution activity can be somewhat loud at times, but no damaging levels or protective equipment required Temperature in the distribution center can vary greatly from warm to cool Ability to climb and descend stairs, ladders and scaffolds and work at various stages of heights throughout the building As a leading logistics company in one of the fastest growing industries, at DHL eCommerce, we offer our employees, and their dependents benefits and incentives to make them successful at work and home. Requirements

  • Minimum two year of experience in a similar role in manufacturing or automated distribution facility
