About The Position

The Automation Technician I at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or technical certification in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
0-2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or automation support role.
Basic understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.
Familiarity with common hand tools and basic power tools.
Ability to learn and apply fundamental troubleshooting techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work OT on the weekends.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or technical certification in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on automated production lines, robots, and other manufacturing equipment.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues in automated machinery.
Replace faulty components, including sensors, motors, and wiring, under supervision.
Calibrate and adjust automation equipment to meet production specifications.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Support engineers and senior technicians in complex automation projects.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to automation processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
