As an Automation Systems Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will work closely with project automation lead engineers and project managers to schedule and stage control system Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for various projects related to Marine, Fiber, and Oil & Gas groups. Your responsibilities will include staging equipment, interconnecting systems, powering up, loading project-specific software, and ensuring all communications are properly set up and functioning. You will also witness Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks at supplier locations and prepare equipment for shipment after FAT completion. Additionally, you will provide support for engineering tools, maintain commissioning tool kits, and support NIST 800-171 CUI compliant environments.

  • Schedule and stage control system Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for projects.
  • Stage equipment, interconnect systems, power up, and load project-specific software.
  • Ensure all communications are properly set up and working.
  • Witness Quality Assurance/Quality Control checks at supplier locations.
  • Disconnect temporary connections, power down, and prepare equipment for shipment.
  • Maintain and issue commissioning tool kits for engineers.
  • Support NIST 800-171 CUI compliant environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues related to engineering tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skilled in industrial process control software (e.g., PCS7) and automation PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of OT network communications and IO signal processing.
  • Familiar with cloud-based computing and industrial automation engineering tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, COMOS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally.
  • More than 5 years of experience may be considered for a more senior level.
