About The Position

The position involves supporting the daily operations of the business unit through the installation, programming, start-up, and maintenance of automation and process control equipment. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, specification, installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment to improve plant system operation and reduce total operating costs. The role requires support for various plant activities including DCS, PLC, measurement facilities, natural gas collection systems, gas compressors, and gas plant processing equipment. The applicant will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Information Technology Groups. Attention to detail is crucial as the role involves working with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems. The position may require overtime and call-out work as needed, along with other tasks assigned to support operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in automation systems.
• Excellent knowledge of automation host systems.
• Skillful in reading electronic schematics, identifying components, and understanding their functions.
• Able to read, program, install, and troubleshoot complex PLC programs.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations through installation, programming, start-up, and maintenance of automation and process control equipment.
• Design, specify, install, program, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment.
• Support plant activities including DCS, PLC, measurement facilities, natural gas collection systems, gas compressors, and gas plant processing equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT Groups.
• Work with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems.
• Be available for overtime and call-out work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support operations.
• Understand pneumatic instrumentation: calibration and maintenance.
