About The Position

Messerli Kramer, a trusted Twin Cities law firm since 1965, is looking for a full-time Automation Solutions Lead to join our team in Plymouth, MN. The Automation Solutions Lead will lead automation initiatives across business and technology functions, driving solutions from concept through production. This role combines technical project leadership, solution architecture, and hands-on execution to deliver scalable automation solutions leveraging data, workflows, and AI where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in Data Engineering, Automation, Solution Architecture, or Technical Program Management
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions
  • Ability to work across business and technical domains
  • Data Engineering fundamentals (tables, data interchange, automation workflows)
  • Technical project management across cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on execution (not purely managerial)
  • Solution architecture design (scalability, performance, maintainability)
  • SQL, APIs, data platforms
  • OCR / document processing technologies
  • Workflow automation tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment

Nice To Haves

  • AI/ML experience is a preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Automation / AI roadmap aligned to business priorities and ROI
  • Lead end-to-end solution delivery (design, architecture, integration, testing, deployment, scaling)
  • Act as Technical Project Manager coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Design scalable and maintainable solution architectures
  • Translate business processes into system logic and automation workflows
  • Partner with Data Engineering on data models and data interchange patterns
  • Implement solutions using APIs, OCR, workflow automation, and data pipelines
  • Drive process standardization and reusable frameworks
  • Manage vendors and ensure delivery quality
  • Define and track automation success metrics
  • Ownership of multiple automation initiatives end-to-end
  • Approved and executed automation roadmap
  • Reusable automation frameworks and patterns
  • Measurable improvements in efficiency and accuracy
  • Documented business logic and automation standards
