About The Position

The position involves working closely with the Lead Field Engineer and other field members to define, design, and execute complex systems that support a Digitally Integrated oil and gas strategy. The role requires leveraging engineering knowledge, judgment, creativity, and experience to support the overall Vision and Tactical Plans for the customers' Automation systems platform. The individual will provide insight and direction to cross-functional teams in developing sound implementation alternatives and recommendations, including cost estimates, feasibility, specifications, and interpretation of requirements. Additionally, the role includes accountability for developing and enforcing automation solutions standards and best practices, guiding project teams, and assessing opportunities for innovative designs and performance improvements. The position also involves providing technical insight and subject matter expertise in areas such as Industrial Internet Of Things (IIOT), Operational Technology (OT), and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Furthermore, the individual will support the development of automation system strategies that enhance supply chain capabilities and coach and mentor field technicians and other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in controls & automation and supporting innovative solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing SCADA solutions and integration with business systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Industrial Control Network architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and other Microsoft Suite products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition software is highly desired.
  • Experience with Rockwell’s Studio 5000, RSlogix500.
  • Experience with Ignition and Factory Talk View platforms.
  • Experience with IDEC WINDLDR, WINDIO-NVR, Red Lion Crimson Software.
  • Industrial Control System Integration using open integration protocols OPC/MQTT.
