About The Position

The incumbent will be responsible for the lifecycle management of R. STAHL’s automation products and solutions in North America. You will drive product strategy, market positioning, and innovation, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory requirements in hazardous environments. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a strong commitment to collaboration with the global product management team; ensuring regional strategies align with global objectives and innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in product management within industrial automation or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, industrial communication protocols, and hazardous area standards.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex product portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) across North America and occasionally internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for automation interfaces and solutions tailored to the North American market.
  • Align regional product strategies with global product management scheme to ensure consistency and leverage global innovations.
  • Act as a key liaison between the North American market and the global product management team.
  • Participate in global product planning sessions, share regional insights, and contribute to the global product vision.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer in internal discussions and product planning.
  • Conduct market research and customer interviews to validate product concepts and gather feedback.
  • Support key customer engagements and represent R. STAHL at industry events and trade shows.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industrial automation technologies, protocols (e.g., PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP), and hazardous area requirements (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, NEC).
  • Provide technical input for product documentation, training, and marketing materials.
  • Track product performance metrics and customer satisfaction to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including pricing, positioning, and profitability.
