Key responsibilities include: Equipment management, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Monitoring and optimizing medication inventory levels. Reviewing and updating documentation accurately. Building strong customer relationships through effective communication. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • An Active State Pharmacy Technician License / Registration from the State Board of Pharmacy of your state of resident.
  • An Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA-CPhT /ExCPT).
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy automation.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with mechanical equipment and troubleshoot issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and follow detailed plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • 2+ years of hospital pharmacy automation experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with automation devices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Omnicell automation systems at customer sites per SOPs and best practices.
  • Perform return and restocking duties to maximize automation efficiency.
  • Monitor formulary inventory levels for daily dispensing needs.
  • Conduct prescribed maintenance and report unresolved issues to Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
  • Perform daily and periodic equipment cleaning and inspections.
  • Identify and resolve common system issues; escalate as needed.
  • Maintain proactive communication with pharmacy operations and customers.
  • Deliver customer-focused support emphasizing quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct training and ensure compliance with all procedures and policies.
  • Manage work-related expenses per Omnicell travel policies.
  • Comply with customer facility guidelines and maintain required certifications.
  • Serve as a resource or SME for team members, providing training and workflow support.
