PRN Automation Pharmacy Technician 2 (PakPlus) - On Call Role Overview Support safe, efficient medication operations by operating and optimizing Omnicell pharmacy automation systems in a hospital or health‑system environment. Serve as a hands‑on resource for daily automation workflows, inventory accuracy, equipment readiness, and frontline issue resolution in partnership with the Pharmacy Services Manager and customer pharmacy leaders. Key Responsibilities Execute daily automation tasks (issue/return/waste documentation, restocks, bin management) with high accuracy and adherence to SOPs. Prepare, clean, and maintain automation equipment; perform routine optimization activities to sustain uptime and throughput. Monitor inventory levels; identify and initiate medication and consumable replenishment to keep systems at optimal par levels. Perform advanced troubleshooting of automation devices; escalate unresolved issues to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and document actions taken. Follow Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs procedures when applicable; maintain compliance with site policies and Omnicell standards. Communicate proactively with the Pharmacy Services Manager and customer stakeholders to surface risks, propose solutions, and close the loop on actions. Act as a resource/SME to team members—providing on‑site or remote assistance and training to ensure optimal workflow and consistent best practices.
