Position Summary The Advanced Automation Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating machinery to support production processes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Requirements

Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program and 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
Written communication skills
Solid to comprehensive knowledge of machinery and production processes.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, and operate machinery according to production schedules, quality standards, and project specifications.
Review blueprints, schematics, and other documentation to determine correct machine setup.
Inspect in-process and completed materials for accuracy and compliance using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions by editing specifications and performing maintenance, including addressing control panel errors and coordinating with technicians on complex issues.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and a clean, safe workspace.
Monitor and document equipment performance and maintenance needs; verify equipment data for reporting purposes.
Assist with the installation of operating equipment as required.
Strive to meet organizational goals for cycle time, quantity, and quality to enhance machining excellence.
Apply knowledge of CNC programming and utilize machine instructions and project guidelines to ensure correct calculations and parameters.
