The Travel Automation Maintenance Technician role involves performing electrical maintenance and repairs on various automation machine tools, particularly CNC equipment. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with CNC and PLC equipment, ensuring optimal functionality in a manufacturing environment. This position requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts on an AWS schedule, and it includes an initial training period before transitioning to the assigned shift.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines.
  • Handle electrical maintenance for automation machine tools.
  • Work with CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics.
  • Repair equipment including P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems.
  • Connect laptops to machines for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Use MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance performed.
  • Prioritize machinery repairs based on equipment value stream.
  • Troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Blueprint reading ability.
  • Knowledge of PLC and relay logic.
  • Understanding of schematics.
  • Experience in automation and electrical maintenance.
  • Electrical wiring and encoder knowledge.
  • Familiarity with control systems and HMI.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC controls and edit ladder logic.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc controls.
  • AC/DC power experience.
  • Knowledge of glass scale linear encoders.
