We are seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to build our automation program which includes defining automation standards and best practices, hiring highly skilled and motivated automation engineers, collaborating with factory colleagues, developing design documents, and building successful third-party partnerships.

  • Lead and develop a team of Automation Engineers to be a knowledge base to run and sustain the automation agendas of our factories.
  • Work with Central Automation Team to research, experiment and bring new technologies to keep our site productive and competitive.
  • Work with the Central Automation, Operations, and finance to define an automation execution roadmap using tools for identifying opportunities and prioritizing projects based on financial impact vs. effort.
  • Oversee control and electrical design, understand schematics, and develop hardware and software integration specs.
  • Procuring the necessary materials, hardware and software licenses or packages to execute projects on time.
  • Negotiate with internal and external vendors to get appropriate commercial and delivery conditions for Siemens.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in Automation, control devices, SCADA systems, PLCs (TIAportal, WinCC), AMR's and robotics (TIAportal, WinCC).
  • Proven experience in capturing customer requirements and translating to specification documents.
  • Experience leading and motivating a top performing automation engineering team or high-profile automation projects.
  • Experience evaluating and managing third-party integrators and experience integrating IoT devices into a production environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Experience with digital strategy development, technology evaluation, and project management.
  • Change management expertise, with the ability to drive cultural and organizational change.
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as project management (PMP), agile methodologies, or digital transformation are a plus.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and practices.

  • The pay range for this position is 100,450.00 - 172,200.00 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary.
