Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years working toward a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Preference for students who will have completed their 3rd year of a BS level college engineering program prior to starting the internship and will be graduating within 12 months of finishing the internship.
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside technology development and engineering teams in the design of automation and mechanical equipment by creating CAD drawings and models.
  • Support the integration of new Control systems equipment such as HMIs and Vision systems.
  • Deliver design solutions and write technical reports for completed work to capture insights.
  • Use 3D printers to create functional prototypes and assist with machine assembly.
