Pittsburgh Glass Works (PGW), a proud subsidiary of Vitro Automotive Glass, is looking for a talented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Tipton, PA facility. Located in the heart of central Pennsylvania—just 40 minutes from State College and 2 hours from Pittsburgh—our Tipton plant is a hub of advanced manufacturing. We produce high-quality side and rear automotive windows for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ford, Chrysler, GM, and more. As an Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting production, and collaborating with skilled maintenance teams to keep our systems running at peak performance. The Automation Engineer is responsible for providing technological and programming support for a highly technical and automated glass facility. Typical equipment supported would include unique process equipment, robotics, programmable logic controllers, vision systems and process computers. Performance is measured against speed and yield variances to budget for both tempered and laminated products as well as against the achievement of plant quality and safety goals.
