About The Position

Pieper Automation is expanding and is looking for an entry level Automation Engineer in our Wrightstown, WI facility. The Automation Engineer will oversee all activities related to the assigned accounts and projects. If you have technical skills in Industrial Automation, and the capability of independently execute small to mid-level projects, we want to talk with you. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in Engineering or a related field
• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand the customer's point-of-view
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel including customers, vendors, managers, field and office workers
• Ability to work independently or within a project team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize various daily responsibilities
• Extensive knowledge and experience in several of the following: Control system design, Machine Safety, PLCs, SCADA/Operator Interface, Drive systems, Robotics, Vision, and DCS systems

Responsibilities

• Execute projects based on customer need
• Specify equipment and controls per customer needs and requirements
• Work independently or as part of a project team
• Travel as needed for system commissioning at customer sites
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Project engineering and programming work are the main focus areas of the role
• Cultivate customer relationships to drive repeat business and growth
