The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems for our semiconductor manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with our manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to optimize and enhance automation processes. A key focus of the role will be developing and configuring the Fabguard Integrated Process Monitoring application as well as Eyelit Equipment Connect and Factory Connect applications, to increase integration with our manufacturing execution system (MES), Eyelit. This role will directly contribute to improving production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting our advanced manufacturing operations.

  • Configure Fabguard Integrated Process Monitoring application to meet operational requirements and enhance system performance.
  • Integration of Fabguard, Eyelit Equipment Connect, and Eyelit Factory Connect with Eyelit MES, ensuring seamless communication between manufacturing equipment and the MES host application, facilitating such capabilities as automated recipe downloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems to improve performance and reliability.
  • Develop detailed documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation and semiconductor manufacturing
  • Typically require a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Software Solutions in a Semiconductor or Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of SECS/GEM protocol for equipment automation and familiarity with SEMI standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Programming experience in Python and SQL to support automation and data analysis tasks.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Experience with cleanroom manufacturing environments.
